Originally because I too read your original post and got confused, I thought the solenoid was controlled some strange way using frequency but my understanding now is that it functions just like a boost control solenoid, or idle control and rather than waste my 1 of my only 2 outputs from my Haltech (one for boost, the other most likely for PWM on the fuel pump later) I think I'll just defeat it mechanically bypass/ delete the solenoid and see how it goes since I already have to exert twice the normal effort to steer.
